About: Chris Kelly – Founder of Mama Lama Wisdom Collective

I’m Chris Kelly, and this blog is all about embracing NEW ideas, learning about Mindfulness, Yoga, Self Discovery, and adapting a joyful outlook on life. For the last 18 years, I’ve been on a journey towards optimal health and happiness. I can’t wait to share with you what I’ve discovered works and what doesn’t work in the pursuit of living a joyful life. I promise to do my best to explain HOW you can implement these same ideas into your life.

I took charge of my own happiness by learning mindfulness, yoga, healthy eating habits, and diving deep into self discovery. And you can too!  I’ll share with you new ideas that focus on self-care, mindfulness practices, and fun activities within the Mama Lama Community of wise, wonderful women. I hope you will share your story and ideas as well.

It’s so important to try new ideas ­– to STIR the pot!

As we search together for answers, you will learn about topics like meditation, habits, and repeating patterns in our lives. Subjects like defeating negative self-talk will come up, as we investigate ways to become our own best friend and not our worst enemy!

Together, we will discuss how to use the Mama Lama Community to lift us up and expand our horizons. We’ll talk about ways we can support not only ourselves but also those in the greater community.

Envision the life you want. Decide how you want to feel. Imagine leaving your troubles behind and pulling yourself in the direction of health and happiness. We are going to draw on the JOY within us all, and journey down a new path, as a Mama Lama – a wise and wonderful woman full of knowledge with love in her heart. So, buckle up, sister, and get ready to go!

Chris Kelly – The Happy Mama Lama

Chris is a certified Yoga Alliance Teacher ERYT-500, YACEP, accredited Mindfulness Meditation Teacher MMCT-300, and Happiness Coach. She teaches the Wisdom Practices of Yoga, Meditation, and Ayurveda, helping people develop the skill and self-assurance they need to forge a clear and joyful path toward living a healthy, happy life.
Chris completed her 300-hr Advanced Teacher Training with the distinguished teachers at the Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in New York City, including Deborah Langley and Felipe Gonzalez. Chris received her 200-HR RYT at Empowered Yoga, Wilmington, DE.
As a long-time yoga practitioner, Chris knows how living a Yogic lifestyle can change your life forever. She recognizes that pursuing happiness takes planning and very specific steps and loves sharing her ideas with her students. Chris is passionate about traveling the world, learning about yoga, and living in JOY. You’ll find an upbeat message in Chris’ classes and dharma talks. She delivers her classes and workshops with confidence and open-hearted awareness, intending to leave everyone smiling. As the Editor-in-Chief of the Mama Lama Wisdom Collective, Chris enjoys working with a broad base of Wellness Writers and Practitioners.

Liability Waiver

The following information will help you get the most out of your Yoga Classes, and clarify your instructor’s role. Please read, sign, and check the box below.

  1. Yoga is a physical exercise that integrates mind, body and spirit. Yoga is a way of encountering and releasing physical, mental and emotional tensions to arrive at deeper levels of relaxation and awareness.
  2. By choosing to participate in any class, workshop or clinic, you voluntarily, knowingly and expressly assume the risk of any injury.
  3. Consult your physician before engaging in any exercise program. Inform your instructor of any health conditions that may be affected by your practice of Yoga. You represent and warrant that you are physically fit, and have no medical condition that would prevent your full participation in any Yoga class.
  4. It is your responsibility to monitor each activity to determine whether it is appropriate for you. Although your instructor will guide you, you remain solely responsible for your safety and well-being.
  5. By participating in or attending any activity in connection with this class, whether it be on or off the premises, I consent to the use of any photographs, pictures, film, or videotapes taken of me or provided by me for publicity, promotion, television, websites, or any other use and expressly waive any right of privacy, compensation, copyright, or other ownership right connected to the same.
  6. In consideration for your participation in any class, workshop and or clinic, whether it be on or off the premises, and by signing this form, you, your heirs, your assigns and your legal representatives hereby forever release, waive, discharge, indemnify, hold harmless, and covenant not to sue Chris Kelly or Mama Lama LLC., its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, members, managers, partners, instructors and representatives from all injuries, damages, losses, expenses, attorneys’ fees, settlements, liabilities, claims, suits and causes of action which may result therefrom, and which may affect you and /or Chris Kelly or Mama Lama LLC.
  7. Each instructor reserves the right to refuse participation by any student who behaves in a dangerous, threatening, distressing or disruptive manner.
  8. If you do not wish to receive physical assistance, it is your responsibility to inform your instructor.
